Applied Engineering is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer focused on power distribution to join a remote team. You will participate in low and medium voltage design, component selection, and documentation for products such as switchgear and switchboards.

The role emphasizes collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to deliver reliable solutions. Ideal candidates have 1–2+ years in electrical design, knowledge of NEC/UL standards, and experience with AutoCAD Electrical,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–2+ years in electrical engineering or power distribution design.
• Experience with low and/or medium voltage AC systems.
• Familiarity with electrical ratings, standards, and component selection.

Responsibilities

• Design and support LV & MV power distribution products from concept through manufacturing, testing and implementation.
• Research, evaluate, and select electrical components based on requirements and ratings.
• Develop electrical designs, schematics, and technical documentation for manufacturing and certification.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, quality and cross-functional teams.
• Support product validation, prototype testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
