Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician to support construction and engineering teams through advanced 3D modeling and coordination. The role involves creating BIM models, clash detection, and generating construction documentation. Proficiency in BIM software and strong communication skills are essential. The position offers the flexibility to work fully remote or from the Lexington, KY HQ or Greenville, SC office, focusing on delivering excellence in electrical construction.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of construction methods and terminology, building codes, and industry standards.
Ability to analyze and interpret design information.
Ability to create/modify basic Revit families.
Responsibilities
Creating and updating detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software.
Integrating design information from various disciplines into the 3D model.
Identifying and resolving spatial conflicts using clash detection tools.
Generating drawings, schedules, and visualizations from the 3D model.
Maintaining the BIM model current with design changes.
Collaborating with project managers and engineers.
Providing 3D visualizations and clash reports.
Skills
Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Evolve, ACC, Solidworks, or Navisworks
Ability to create detailed 2D drawings from 3D models
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
