Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician to support our construction teams through 3D modeling and coordination. This role involves creating accurate BIM models, integrating design data, and performing clash detection. Proficiency in BIM software, strong communication skills, and knowledge of electrical/construction practices are essential. This position offers the flexibility to work fully remote or from our offices in Lexington, KY or Greenville, SC.

Qualifications

• Proficient in BIM software for detailed modeling and constructing documentation.
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with project teams.
• Understanding of construction methods, building codes, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and update detailed 3D models of electrical systems using BIM software.
• Integrate design information from different disciplines into the 3D model.
• Identify and resolve spatial conflicts using clash detection tools.
• Generate drawings and visualizations from the 3D model for construction.

Skills

Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Evolve, ACC, Solidworks, or Navisworks

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Attention to detail

Ability to create/modify basic Revit families

Ability to analyze and interpret design information
