Job summary

Comfort Systems USA is seeking a Building Information Modeling (BIM) Technician to join our construction and engineering teams. This role will involve creating and maintaining accurate BIM models of electrical designs, integrating design data, and ensuring constructability through clash detection. The ideal candidate will possess proficiency in BIM software and strong collaborative skills. This position offers remote work options as well as opportunities from our Lexington, KY HQ or Greenville, SC office.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in BIM software necessary for 3D modeling.
• Understanding of construction methods and industry standards.
• Ability to create/modify basic Revit families.

Responsibilities

• Create and update detailed 3D models of electrical systems.
• Integrate design information from various disciplines into models.
• Identify and resolve spatial conflicts between building components.
• Generate drawings, schedules, and visualizations.
• Ensure BIM model remains current with design changes.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers.

Skills

Proficiency in BIM software (Revit, Evolve, ACC, Solidworks, Navisworks)

Ability to create detailed 2D drawings from 3D models
