Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks an experienced Emergency Call Handling Field Engineer to lead deployment and integration of ECH solutions across on-prem and cloud environments. You will handle site design, on-site configuration, testing, cutover, and post-cut support while collaborating with customers and partners.

Based in the US with remote work and up to 75% travel internationally, you will configure hybrid cloud solutions, document changes, and stay current with cloud-native public safety

Qualifications

• 3+ years deploying or integrating complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, MS) and cloud troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with cloud-based troubleshooting, connectivity, latency, and AD/SSO.
• Server virtualization: RedHat KVM, VMware ESXi, Hyper-V.
• Database: MS SQL Server 2008 R2/2012/2016.
• Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 R2; Windows 10/11 workstations.
• Linux knowledge, Cisco IOS switches, Fortinet FortiGate firewall basics.
• Telephony knowledge for analog lines and PRI; basic AD concepts.
• Ability to work independently with guides and remote support; strong time management.
• Willingness for international travel up to 75% and eligible for US passport.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for ECH solutions including hybrid cloud and SaaS.
• Performs site verification testing before production cutover.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local and cloud environments.
• Supports customers and channel partners during deployment into production.
• Documents changes to the solution, cloud tenant configurations, and APIs.
• Ensures installation/quality issues are resolved promptly.
• Participates in MOP development for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintains skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
