Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks an experienced Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer to implement and support on-site and cloud-hosted ECH solutions across the US, with heavy travel. You will configure, test, and cut a site, troubleshoot cloud connectivity, and document changes for production environments.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years deploying complex IP systems and cloud-related certifications, virtualization skills, and strong telephony knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of deploying or integrating complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud certifications such as AWS Cloud Practitioner or equivalent.
• Experience with cloud-based app troubleshooting, connectivity, latency and identity management (SSO/AD).
• Experience with virtualization: ESXi, KVM, RedHat virtualization; Windows and Linux servers.
• Database/server knowledge: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2–2016; Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 R2.
• Networking: Cisco IOS switches; basic firewall/router concepts (Fortinet FortiGate).
• Telephony knowledge from analog lines to PRI, including termination.
• Ability to work independently with guides and remote support; strong time-management.

Responsibilities

• Configure and test ECH solutions across on-premise and cloud deployments.
• Perform site verification testing and cutover to production environments.
• Troubleshoot connectivity between local infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Support customers and partners during deployment and production roll-out.
• Document changes to cloud tenants and API integrations during implementation.
• Resolve installation and quality issues promptly during deployment.
• Assist in developing MOPs for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participate in pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations.
