Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an EAP Clinical Counselor for Aetna Mental Wellbeing to deliver 24/7 telehealth-based mental health support across the United States. You will assess, triage and counsel members via video, phone or live chat, employing motivational interviewing and brief interventions.

Required are a Master's in behavioral health counseling, an active independent license (LPC/LMFT/LCMSW/LMHC, etc.), and at least 1 year of crisis intervention experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of crisis intervention experience.
• Valid unrestricted independent behavioral health license to practice per state regulations.
• 24x7x365 call center coverage; holiday coverage expected.
• Experience in facilitating patient/client positive behavior change.
• Experience with mental health, psychiatric care, family situations and relationship concerns preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone-based assessment, triage, counseling and informational services in a call center.
• Provide risk, substance use and mental health assessments to develop immediate safety plans.
• Assess levels of care to guide appropriate referrals.
• Build rapport and align with member's theory of change; provide information on mental health resources.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure continuity of care and positive outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation meeting risk management and regulatory requirements.
