CVS Health’s Aetna Mental Wellbeing unit seeks an EAP Clinical Counselor to provide 24/7 telephonic, video, or chat counseling for members, delivering timely, high‑quality mental health support nationwide. Responsibilities include risk and crisis assessments, directing care across levels of treatment, documenting thoroughly, and maintaining confidentiality within a call‑center setting.

Requirements include a current independent behavioral health license, a Master’s degree in behavioral health

Qualifications

• 1 year of crisis intervention experience.
• Valid unrestricted independent behavioral health license to practice per state regulations.
• 24x7x365 call center coverage required, including holidays.
• Experience in facilitating patient/client positive behavior change.
• Experience with mental health, psychiatric care, family situations and relationship concerns preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provision of telephone-based assessment, triage, counseling and informational services in a call center.
• Provides risk, substance abuse and mental health assessments to develop immediate action/safety plans.
• Understands levels of care to guide appropriate treatment recommendations.
• Collaborates with members to align with their theory of change and link to resources.
• Maintains documentation, confidentiality, and compliance with risk management requirements.
