Job summary

CVS Health is hiring an EAP Clinical Counselor for Aetna Mental Well-being to provide immediate mental health support via video, chat, or phone to members nationwide. This fully remote role in the USA supports a 24/7 call center operation.

You will conduct crisis assessments, safety planning, and short‑term interventions while collaborating with a team to ensure timely access to care. A Master’s degree in behavioral health counseling and a valid independent license are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of crisis intervention experience.
• Valid unrestricted independent behavioral health clinical license (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, LMHC, LCMHC, LICSW, LISW, Clinical Psychologist).
• 24x7x365 call center coverage required; holiday coverage expected.
• Experience facilitating positive behavior change in mental health contexts.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone-based assessments, triage, counseling, and information in a call center.
• Assess risk, substance use, and mental health to formulate immediate safety plans.
• Recommend appropriate levels of care based on urgency and needs assessment.
• Document accurately while protecting confidentiality and meeting regulatory requirements.
