CVS Health is expanding its Aetna Mental Wellbeing team with a remote EAP Clinical Counselor in the USA. You will provide 24/7 counseling and information via video, chat or phone, assessing needs and guiding care pathways.

The role emphasizes confidentiality, rapid access to services, and coordination with a team of professionals for optimal outcomes. Ideal candidates hold an independent behavioral health license in their state and have crisis intervention and call center experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of crisis intervention experience.
• Valid unrestricted independent behavioral health license per state regulations.
• 24x7x365 call center coverage; holiday coverage expected.
• Experience in facilitating patient/client positive behavior change.
• Experience handling mental health, psychiatric care, family and relationship concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone-based assessment, triage, counseling and information in a call center setting.
• Offer risk, substance abuse and mental health assessments with immediate safety plans.
• Understand levels of care to guide appropriate treatment recommendations.
• Build rapport and align with member change goals; educate on mental health resources.
• Collaborate with professionals to ensure positive clinical outcomes and continuity.
• Multitask: document while handling calls; protect confidentiality and adhere to policies.
• Maintain required documentation meeting risk management and regulatory standards.
• Hold current independent behavioral health license in good standing.
