Job summary

Gulf Winds International, Inc. is seeking a Driver Onboarding Specialist to oversee the onboarding of new drivers remotely.

You will coordinate documentation, drug screening, orientation, and compliance, partnering with Recruiting and Training to ensure a safe, efficient start for drivers. This full-time role focuses on process timing, records management, and continuous improvement, while maintaining strong communication with applicants and internal teams to deliver a reliable, compliant driver

Qualifications

• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

• Proficiency with onboarding software and applicant tracking systems.

• Basic trucking operations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collect and verify driver documents (license, insurance, registration).
• Coordinate drug screening and track results for compliance.
• Track onboarding progress and provide regular updates to management.
• Schedule orientation and pre-lease vehicle inspections.
• Maintain compliant documentation and records for drivers.
• Collaborate with training to design driver programs and provide feedback.
• Promote safety protocols and conduct refresher trainings as needed.
• Serve as primary contact for new drivers and address questions.
• Identify process improvements to enhance onboarding efficiency.
