Job summary

Gulf Winds International, Inc. is seeking a Driver Onboarding Specialist to streamline hiring, orientation, and training for new drivers across our markets. This role focuses on collecting documents, coordinating screenings, and ensuring compliance while maintaining a safe and efficient onboarding experience.

Collaborate with recruiting, safety, and operations teams to optimize processes, reinforce regulatory adherence, and support driver retention in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years of driver onboarding or recruiting experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance.
• Experience with onboarding processes, ATS, and safety standards.
• Familiarity with Ten Street CMS and DQ File requirements.
• Understanding of driver pay structures.

Responsibilities

• Collect and verify documents (license, insurance, registration) for driver applicants.
• Coordinate drug screening and track results for compliance.
• Track onboarding progress with ATS and provide updates to management.
• Schedule orientation and pre-lease inspections for vehicles.
• Ensure all licensing, permits, and certifications are obtained and stored.
• Collaborate with training to deliver driver safety and skills programs.
• Promote safety protocols and conduct refresher trainings.
• Serve as primary contact for new drivers during onboarding.
• Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and outcomes.
