Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Driver Onboarding and Relations Specialist to create a positive first impression for new drivers.

You will manage a personalized onboarding plan, serve as the single point of contact, and ensure a smooth transition during the first 30 days with Werner. You will collaborate with transportation managers and other departments, conduct 14- and 30-day follow-ups, resolve issues, and help maintain driver retention.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet management or driver management.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Strong listening and quick, logical decision-making skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple departments while maintaining Werner policies.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding for new drivers with a personalized welcome and onboarding plan.
• Act as primary liaison between the driver and other departments to resolve issues.
• Conduct follow-up calls at 14 and 30 days to assess experience and address challenges.
• Assist in developing action plans with driver, departments, and oversight committee.
• Provide warm TM handoff after onboarding with a detailed overview of the driver’s fleet.
• Contribute to process improvements and training to raise driver satisfaction and retention.
