Job summary

Werner Enterprises, Inc. seeks a Driver Support Representative to ensure drivers have a positive, organized experience at the terminal.

You will act as the liaison for onboarding, travel, orientation schedule and material, equipment assignment and familiarization, terminal directions, and any additional needs. You will deliver a welcome presentation in Driver Orientation and assist with sessions to provide a visible resource to new drivers.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• CDL preferred.
• 3–5 years transportation experience in trucking is preferred.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact and owner of all drivers as they navigate through the terminal visit.
• Deliver a welcome presentation in Driver Orientation as part of the Werner Welcome Experience; assist with each session to provide a visible resource to new drivers.
• Assign drivers to tractors and maintain driver tractor data in iSeries planning grid; maintain open trucks at the terminal.
• Educate drivers about equipment operation and maintenance.
• Proactively reach out to drivers to confirm expectations and offer assistance if needed.
• Update all driver material/information as needed.
• Document all interactions with drivers, including issues and resolutions, during the welcome experience.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
