Job summary

Global Sanctuary for Elephants, a USA-based nonprofit, seeks a Development Coordinator to support donor relations, grants, and fundraising operations. The role focuses on donor database management, gift processing, reporting, grant administration, and event support, reporting to the Development Director.

The position is fully remote within the United States, with duties spanning data integrity, donor stewardship, and collaboration with the Communications Director to grow donor relationships.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a non-profit setting, animal welfare knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the donor database, including data maintenance, gift processing, acknowledgments, reporting, solicitations, list creation/maintenance, and communication mailings.
• Reconcile deposits in donor database with QuickBooks reports.
• Generate donor reports for mailings, donations, board reports, and annual audit/990 preparations.
• Develop and maintain data integrity policies and procedures for reporting and compliance.
• Assist with online fundraising events and general fundraising administration.
• Provide excellent donor service via email and phone inquiries from donors, grantmakers, and corporate sponsors.
