Job summary

Ascend Justice is seeking a Development Coordinator for a part-time role with flexible remote options. You will support the Director of Development in grants management, donor stewardship, prospect research, and operations, helping grow the organization’s fundraising capacity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Experience in nonprofit development, fundraising, grants administration, donor relations or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research and analytical abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while meeting deadlines.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
• Commitment to CDEL's mission of expanding access to justice for older adults and persons with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Grants Administration: maintain grants calendar; assist with grant applications, reports; collect program data; maintain grant files.
• Prospect Research: research prospective donors; prepare profiles; identify funding opportunities; support donor pipeline.
• Donor Database & Stewardship: maintain donor records; assist with acknowledgments; generate reports; support recognition.
• Development Operations: prepare fundraising materials; provide operational support for campaigns and events; perform other projects.
