Job summary

Seva, a global nonprofit eye care organization, seeks a Development Coordinator, Donor Relations in Berkeley, CA for a hybrid schedule. You will support donor relations, grants administration, and development operations, including data entry in Raiser's Edge, donor stewardship, EFT entries, and reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum of the equivalent of three years of relevant, progressive work experience in development.
• Experience with CRM systems - Raiser's Edge preferred.
• Ability to take initiative and problem solve, work under pressure in a fast-paced, multi-task team environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and motivated.
• Excellent research and writing skills with strong follow-through.
• Hybrid position requiring Berkeley office presence 1-2 days/week.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administrative needs related to Donor Relations, including responding to inquiries by phone, email, or mail.
• Coordinate donor stewardship activities with Board members and volunteers.
• Track donor touchpoints and gift projections in Raiser's Edge with timely, accurate updates.
• Provide back-up support for Development Operations during mail delivery issues.
• Process EFT gift entries, donor acknowledgment letters, and gift pledges; organize deposits.
• Provide back-up prospect research when needed.
• Enter GOS and general donations accurately; ensure data integrity.
• Oversee GOS Temporary hires during peak season and manage workflow.
• Perform daily web downloads to ensure timely mailing of GOS cards and merchandise.
• Assist with grants proposals and reporting, ensuring timely submissions.
