Job summary

Global Sanctuary for Elephants is seeking a Development Coordinator to support fundraising, donor relations, and grant activities. The role collaborates with the Development and Communications Directors to grow donor base and manage data with Neon and other tools.

The position is full-time and remote, open to candidates nationwide in the United States, with a structured schedule and room to grow within a dynamic nonprofit.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years analytical/administrative experience.
• 2–3 years in nonprofit setting; animal welfare background is a plus.
• Attention to detail, copyediting and data management/reconciliation skills.
• Experience with gift entry and reporting in Neon donor system.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, monday.com and cloud apps like Google Docs/Dropbox.
• Ability to manage deadlines and juggle multiple projects remotely.

Responsibilities

• Manage donor database, including data maintenance, gift processing, acknowledgments, reporting, solicitations, list creation/maintenance, and communications.
• Reconcile deposits into the donor database with QuickBooks reports.
• Generate donor database reports for mailings, donations, bank deposits, board reports, and audit/990 preparations.
• Support online store operations and fundraising events logistics.
• Develop and maintain data integrity policies and procedures.
• Assist Development Director with online fundraising events and general fundraising administration.
• Provide donor service via email and phone; cultivate relationships with donors and sponsors.
• Identify new donor opportunities from diverse sources including corporations, foundations, individuals.
• Prepare draft communications and campaigns to donors.
• Maintain cloud-based document management and provide general donor services support.
