Job summary

Amgen is seeking a District Sales Manager in the Hartford area to lead clinical knowledge exchange with medical professionals and drive sales performance. The role collaborates across districts and cross-functional teams to maximize patient impact and business results.

You will recruit, coach, and develop district staff, manage budgets, and ensure training compliance while advancing Amgen’s strategic initiatives and patient-centered mission.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, Master’s, Bachelor’s, or Associate degree with relevant Sales/Marketing experience.
• 2+ years of Sales/Marketing experience required for candidates with Doctorate or Master’s.
• 12 years of Sales/Marketing experience for high school diploma is also listed.

Responsibilities

• Track progress of marketing messages and programs
• Manage district teams to maximize their performance and help achieve/exceed sales and budget targets
• Screen, interview, and hire candidates
• Ensure compliance with training
• Demonstrate coaching to prepare individuals for future development
• Coordinate and/or participate in district sales meetings to guide districts
• Develop local Opinion Leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives
