Job summary

Qualdoc seeks a Director of Operations to lead transportation, freight forwarding, and project logistics. This fully remote role oversees domestic and international operations, guiding performance and developing cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years in transportation, logistics, freight forwarding, or 3PL.
• Experience supervising and developing teams, with accountability.
• Proven success leading high-performing operational teams.
• Senior operations leadership or management experience.
• Strong knowledge of project cargo and multimodal transport.
• Experience managing complex logistics projects and remote teams.
• Ability to improve operational performance, financials, and customer satisfaction.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking.
• Proficiency in TMS and Microsoft Office.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of transportation, freight forwarding, and project logistics operations.
• Directly manage, mentor, and develop operations and project management teams.
• Establish performance expectations, coaching, evaluations, and accountability.
• Oversee complex domestic and international logistics projects.
• Develop and implement operational standards, procedures, and metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability.
• Collaborate with sourcing, sales, finance, and executive leadership to support objectives.
• Monitor project performance, financial results, customer satisfaction, and risks.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and contractual requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, carriers, and vendors.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
