Job summary

Providence is seeking a Director of Professional Coding to lead coding operations and ensure accurate, compliant, and timely coding across the system. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree: AHIMA accredited HIM program or other healthcare related field.
• 10+ years of ICD-10-CM coding experience.
• 7+ years in a management/supervisory role overseeing coding operations and teams.
• Proven ability to standardize complex processes across multiple facilities.
• Experience with process improvement, change management, and operational improvement in complex systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead professional coding operations across the health system.
• Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely coding of professional services.
• Develop and implement coding strategies, standards, and best practices.
• Drive performance, quality, productivity, and compliance outcomes.
