Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Head of Performance Marketing to lead the PPC and SEO function across multiple clients and verticals. You will mentor the PPC strategist and SEO strategist, set quality standards, and own client results and reporting accuracy.

You will own the client-facing workflow, diagnose account issues, and drive strategy and budget decisions for scalable growth. This role requires strong agency experience and leadership across paid media and SEO.

Qualifications

• 7+ years across paid media and SEO.
• Owning one channel while adjacent channel exists is not enough here.
• Experience leading strategists who report to you and owning client outcomes.
• Comfortable being the client-facing owner when an account underperforms.
• Agency experience carrying many accounts at once.

Responsibilities

• Own the performance marketing function, including PPC and SEO.
• Lead the PPC and SEO strategists; set quality bars and development
• Ensure reporting integrity and attribution accuracy across client accounts.
• Direct the escalation on underperforming accounts; engage clients on calls.
• Define channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale.
• Communicate capabilities to sales and participate in hiring for the team.
• Conduct first-round interviews for the department within about a quarter.
