Job summary

Blacksmith Agency is seeking a Director of Digital Marketing to lead the PPC and SEO function. You will supervise the PPC and SEO strategists, set the quality bar, and ensure honest reporting while guiding channel strategy as client accounts scale.

You will own client outcomes, diagnose underperformance, and act as the client-facing owner for at-risk accounts. This is a management role reporting to the founder.

Qualifications

• 7+ years across paid media and SEO.
• Depth in Google Ads, GA4, Search Console, Meta and Microsoft Ads.
• Turned around at least one account with measurable results.
• Comfortable being the client-facing owner when an account underperforms.
• Agency experience carrying many accounts simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Define and uphold quality standards for audits and reporting across the function.
• Own client results and ensure reporting accuracy and transparency.
• Lead the escalation process for at-risk accounts and direct corrective action.
• Shape channel strategy and budget allocation as accounts scale.
• Communicate capabilities to sales and ensure credible delivery promises.
• Plan the department hiring and conduct first-round interviews for team.
