SOLV Energy is seeking a Director of Project Development and Strategy for its High Voltage Infrastructure unit. This fully remote role leads all preconstruction activities, from opportunity identification to proposal finalization and handoff to execution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in preconstruction, estimating or engineering in HV transmission/substation projects.
• 3+ years in a preconstruction leadership role.
• Experience leading competitive and negotiated pricing for HV/substation EPC or self-perform projects.
• Strong command of substation and transmission scope and major equipment.
• Experience building and leading an estimating team and standardizing processes.

Responsabilités

• Lead HV preconstruction team through estimating and proposal development.
• Own preconstruction stage-gate process for HV, ensuring scope definition and estimate quality.
• Partner with Business Development to shape win strategy and pricing.
• Direct quantity take-offs, unit pricing and labor productivity assumptions.
• Lead constructability reviews with Engineering and Operations to reflect buildable approaches.
• Manage subcontractor and major equipment bid solicitation and qualification.
• Develop and present cost estimates, risk registers, and pricing to executives.
• Ensure clean handoffs from preconstruction to project execution.
