Job summary

Mainspring Energy, Inc. seeks a Director of Electrical Strategic Design Sourcing to build and lead the electrical commodity supply chain.

You will manage a team, own the budget, and shape strategic plans that enable next-generation product architecture and best-total-cost sourcing for power conversion systems. You will partner with Engineering, Product Management, Finance, and Legal to drive multi-department decisions, ensure manufacturability, and align supply strategies with product roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
• Experience leading electrical sourcing teams and setting commodity strategy.
• Familiarity with FEOC, IRA/ITC, USMCA and compliance-driven sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Build, manage, and develop a team of commodity managers; own the budget and policies.
• Partner with engineering to influence product roadmap with supply chain input.
• Set commodity strategy and risk management across price, lead time, quality, and working capital.
• Lead inbound logistics and procurement strategy for electrical portfolio; support ERP development.
• Own sourcing strategy for battery and BMS transitions; ensure manufacturability and supply continuity.
• Negotiate contracts from R&D to long-term volumes; manage supplier risk and continuity.
