Job summary

GAF is seeking a Director of EHS Operations to develop and drive world-class safety programs across its manufacturing facilities and operations. You will align safety strategy with corporate objectives and lead a proactive, behavior-based safety culture.

Reporting to the VP of Environmental, Health and Safety, you will oversee risk assessment, incident investigations, governance of EHS systems, and cross-site training.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Safety, Engineering or related field required.
• 10 years EHS experience with 5 years in management.
• Ability to adapt to changing needs with a client-success focus.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Proven ability to present technical information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a comprehensive EHS strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Drive a proactive, zero-incident safety culture across sites.
• Lead enterprise-wide EHS risk assessments and mitigate risks.
• Develop and govern integrated EHS management systems and tools with data analytics.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and governance of safety/environment standards.
• Oversee incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Mentor/EHS leadership and deploy training programs.
• Travel 50% domestically.
