Job summary

GAF is seeking a Director of EHS Operations to lead world-class safety programs across our manufacturing facilities. You will oversee strategy, governance, and data-driven improvements to ensure a proactive, behavior-based safety culture.

You will report to the VP of Environmental, Health and Safety and mentor EHS professionals, with 50% travel domestically to support sites. A BA/BS in safety or engineering and 10 years of EHS leadership required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• 10 years EHS experience, 5 years in management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a comprehensive EHS strategy.
• Drive a proactive, zero-incident safety culture across sites.
• Lead enterprise-wide EHS risk assessments and governance.
• Oversee EHS data analytics and monitoring tools.
• Supervise incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Mentor EHS professionals and leadership.
