Job summary

CS Recruiting's client seeks a Director of Business Development for 3PL Fulfillment to lead new client acquisition and scale a growing ecommerce logistics platform. The role is remote with based activity in Kansas City and a strong focus on strategic prospecting and closing deals.

Responsibilities include owning the full sales cycle, building relationships with DTC and consumer brands, and collaborating with operations to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing revenue growth.

Qualifications

• 4–8 years in business development or sales within 3PL or fulfillment
• Proven track record of hunting and closing new business
• Experience selling fulfillment, warehousing, or logistics solutions preferred
• Familiarity with DTC, ecommerce, Shopify, and carrier relationships a plus
• Strong communication and relationship-building across sales and operations

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a pipeline of new 3PL fulfillment customers
• Identify, develop, and close new business with DTC and consumer brands
• Own the sales process from prospecting to onboarding
• Communicate fulfillment capabilities and value proposition to decision-makers
• Partner with warehouse and fulfillment operations for smooth handoffs
• Serve as primary commercial contact and nurture client relationships
• Identify opportunities to expand revenue and utilization of the facility
• Leverage partnerships to generate new opportunities
• Help build sales process, strategy, and infrastructure
