Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to serve as a national expert in Commercial P&C and agency operations. The role partners with regional leadership to drive operational excellence, standardized workflows, and scalable processes while supporting producers and account teams to deliver exceptional client service.

The position emphasizes strategic leadership, M&A integration, and ongoing evolution of the operating model, with fully remote work options and preference

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation strongly preferred.
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership in a large brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in agency operations, workflows, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Commercial Lines strategy with leadership to improve operations and performance.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
• Establish standardized workflows and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Analyse root causes and implement corrective actions for sustainable improvements.
• Plan and optimize staffing to support growth and capacity.
• Align with Managed Services for resource utilization and goals.
• Provide expert guidance on agency operations, EPIC workflows, and tech platforms.
• Support M&A integration through assessments and workflow alignment.
• Collaborate with producers and leaders to drive engagement and execution.
• Utilize metrics and BI to measure effectiveness and drive improvements.
• Lead change management to adopt new processes and practices.
