Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national operations, drive standardization, and partner with regional leaders. This role demands deep P&C expertise, strategic leadership, and collaboration with producers and operations to elevate client service and profitability.

The role emphasizes M&A integration, operational transformation, and the ongoing evolution of the agency’s Commercial P&C operating model, with remote-friendly options and occasional on-site

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation strongly preferred.
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership in a large brokerage or agency.
• Expert in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models.
• Experience with workflow standardization and continuous improvement.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions and operational integration.
• Strong communication and change leadership skills.
• Ability to influence leaders in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with regional leadership.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices.
• Lead process improvements to increase productivity and quality.
• Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Plan workforce capacity to support growth.
• Align Managed Services resources with organizational goals.
• Provide guidance on agency operations and technology usage (EPIC).
• Support M&A integration through assess, plan, and standardization.
• Collaborate with producers and operations to drive results.
• Use metrics and BI to drive performance improvements.
• Lead change initiatives across the organization.
