Job summary

National General, part of The Allstate Corporation, seeks a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to grow a local book of business through in-person and phone-based sales. You will build a customer-centric pipeline, cross-sell insurance products, and partner with local teams to drive performance.

The role offers an hourly base of $20 with the potential for commissions and bonuses based on performance, plus Day 1 benefits and a robust training program.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience
• P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention.
• Build and maintain a consistent pipeline, including local lead generation and referrals.
• Develop relationships within the community to support business growth.
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales.
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition.
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations.
