Job summary

Abbott Rapid and Molecular Diagnostics (RMDx) – Infectious Disease is seeking a dynamic Sales Development Manager to drive new business in Chicago/NW Indiana. Candidates must reside in the territory and focus on winning new hospital network accounts.

You will lead strategic territory plans, manage the full sales cycle, and collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, Contracts, and Technical Services to deliver tailored diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years proven success in sales within healthcare.
• Track record of conversions from lead to close.
• Strong problem solving and strategic selling abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% within territory.

Responsibilities

• Penetrate untapped accounts and expand Abbott’s footprint in the ID diagnostics space.
• Develop strategic territory plans using market intelligence and data analytics.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to close.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, account plans, and revenue forecasts using CRM and BI tools.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, Contracts, and Technical Services to deliver tailored diagnostic solutions.
• Build relationships with healthcare professionals and key decision-makers while communicating Abbott's value proposition.
