Abbott Rapid and Molecular Diagnostics (RMDx) – Infectious Disease (ID) is seeking a dynamic, results oriented Sales Development Manager to drive new business acquisition in New England (CT/RI/MA/NH/ME). Candidate must reside in territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 4+ years proven success in relevant sales experience.
• Track record of success with competitive conversions, from lead generations to close
• Demonstrated individual contributor experience including problem solving, complex selling, planning and execution
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory (4 days/week, up to ~50% overnight travel)

Responsibilities

• Drive new business growth by identifying, prospecting, and converting zero-billing and competitive accounts within the assigned territory.
• Develop and execute strategic territory plans, leveraging market intelligence, customer insights, and data analytics to maximize revenue opportunities.
• Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and qualification through contract negotiation, closing, and successful account transition.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline, account plans, and revenue forecasts using CRM and business intelligence tools to achieve growth objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, Contracts, and Technical Services, to deliver customer-focused solutions and resolve sales challenges.
• Build strong relationships with healthcare professionals, administrators, distributors, and key decision-makers while effectively communicating Abbott's value proposition and ensuring compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
