Abbott's Infectious Disease unit is seeking a dynamic Sales Development Manager to drive new business in Chicago/NW Indiana. This role targets hospital networks, labs, clinics, and urgent care settings, focusing on new accounts and strategic expansion.

You will build territory plans, generate leads, and guide opportunities from qualification to close, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored diagnostic solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 4+ years proven success in relevant sales.
• Track record of success with competitive conversions from lead generation to close.
• Demonstrated individual contributor with problem solving and complex selling.
• Willingness to travel within the territory (4 days/week, up to ~50% overnight).

Responsabilités

• Drive new business growth by identifying and converting untapped accounts in the territory.
• Develop and execute strategic territory plans using market intelligence and data analytics.
• Manage full sales cycle from lead generation to contract close.
• Maintain pipeline, account plans, and revenue forecasts using CRM tools.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Finance, Contracts, and Technical Services.
• Build relationships with healthcare professionals and decision-makers and communicate Abbott's value.
