Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure behind our public safety platform. You will focus on reliability, automation, observability, and efficient software delivery.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Security, and cross-functional teams using AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Grafana to ensure scalable, secure, and highly available systems. This is a remote-friendly US role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related infrastructure-focused role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines for application builds, testing, and deployments.
• Experience implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and deployment automation tools such as ArgoCD.
• Experience with scripting or programming to automate infrastructure operations and improve developer workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive infrastructure projects that contribute to scalability, reliability, and health of the platform.
• Develop, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline builds, testing, and deployments.
• Improve platform observability by implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Build internal tools and automation to boost developer productivity and deployment efficiency.
• Partner with engineering teams to establish DevOps best practices and strengthen platform reliability.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure performance bottlenecks and potential failure points.
• Participate in a shared 24/7 on-call rotation to support production infrastructure.
