Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure powering its public safety platform. The role emphasizes reliability, automation, and observability across AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm, ArgoCD, and Grafana.

You will collaborate with Engineering and Security to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available systems while driving operational excellence and developer productivity.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience implementing monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Familiarity with GitOps and deployment automation tools such as ArgoCD.
• Experience with scripting or programming to automate infrastructure and tooling.
• Strong understanding of cloud reliability, security, and compliance best practices.
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for scalability and availability.
• Develop, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for builds, tests, and deployments.
• Improve platform observability with monitoring, logging, alerting, and troubleshooting.
• Build internal tools and automation to boost developer productivity.
• Partner with engineering to establish DevOps best practices and reliable deployments.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation to support production systems.
• Own and drive infrastructure projects for long-term platform health.
• Contribute to mission-critical software for public safety.
