Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a DevOps Engineer to build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure powering our public safety platform. You will focus on reliability, automation, observability, and efficient software delivery across engineering teams.

You will work with AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD, and Grafana to improve our cloud infrastructure, streamline pipelines, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related infrastructure-focused role.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines for application builds, testing, and deployments.
• Experience implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and deployment automation tools such as ArgoCD.
• Experience with scripting or programming to automate infrastructure operations and internal tooling.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure reliability, security, and compliance best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Improve infrastructure reliability and availability.
• Automate deployments and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
• Enhance observability with monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Build internal tools and automation to improve developer productivity.
• Partner with engineering teams to improve deployment workflows and platform reliability.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure performance bottlenecks and potential failure points.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support production infrastructure.
• Own and drive infrastructure projects for long-term scalability and health.
