Job summary

Mark43 is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure powering its public safety platform. You will focus on reliability, automation, observability, and developer productivity while collaborating with Engineering, Security, and cross-functional teams.

You will implement CI/CD pipelines, monitor and log platform health, and drive best practices for deployment and security across AWS and Azure environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or related infrastructure-focused role.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines for application builds, testing, and deployments.
• Experience implementing and maintaining monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting solutions.
• Familiarity with GitOps practices and deployment automation tools such as ArgoCD.
• Experience with scripting or programming to automate infrastructure operations, improve developer workflows, and build internal tooling.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure reliability, scalability, security, and compliance best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently, take ownership of technical projects, and partner effectively with engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Build, scale, and maintain the infrastructure that powers our platform.
• Improve infrastructure reliability, automate deployments, and enhance observability.
• Develop internal tools to improve developer productivity and streamline workflows.
• Partner with engineering teams to establish DevOps best practices and deployment workflows.
• Own and drive infrastructure projects for long-term scalability, stability, and health.
• Participate in a shared on-call rotation to support production infrastructure and troubleshoot incidents.
