Job summary

The ALS Association is seeking an energetic Development Manager to lead fundraising events in Wisconsin, including Walk to Defeat ALS and the ALS Golf Classic. This remote role partners with the Development team to recruit supporters, sponsors, and volunteers while meeting budget goals.

You will build relationships with corporate partners, manage logistics, and drive community engagement across Wisconsin. Travel within the territory is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years in fundraising, event management, volunteer development and management, PR, donor cultivation and corporate sponsor cultivation.
• Skill in running reports and analyzing data for strategic outreach.
• Strong written and oral communication with multiple constituencies.
• Proficiency in Windows programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using donor databases (Salesforce, Blackbaud).
• Experience with Canva, Adobe Suite, Tableau, Greater Giving and Spekit is a plus.
• Willingness to travel with insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Implement a plan to meet income portfolio goals of $650,000+ across events.
• Recruit, steward, and retain event chairs, members, and community partners.
• Collaborate with Event Experience team to manage logistics and materials.
• Engage corporate partners through meetings, calls, and emails.
• Represent the organization at community events and speak publicly.
• Coordinate printing and distribution of event materials.
• Support the Territory team and other departments to improve fundraising efficiency.
