Job summary

The ALS Association is seeking an energetic Development Manager to lead Walk to Defeat ALS Orlando and CEO Soak Pensacola Beach, reporting to the Development Director. You will build relationships with supporters, recruit volunteers, and collaborate with Care Services and MarCom to meet fundraising goals and budgets, while managing donors and partners across the Central Florida region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 2 years in fundraising, event management, volunteer development and management, public relations, donor cultivation and corporate sponsor cultivation.
• Experience managing participants in online fundraising platforms, ability to run reports and analyze data to shape outreach.
• Strong organizational skills and good judgment in prioritizing events.

Responsibilities

• Implement a plan to meet income portfolio goals of $400,000+ including Walk to Defeat ALS Orlando and Pensacola Beach events.
• Recruit, steward, and retain committee chairs and volunteers; build relationships with community partners.
• Collaborate with Event Experience and volunteers to manage logistics, printing, and promo materials.
• Operate within budgetary guidelines and partner with Care Services to involve people living with ALS and families.
• Work with MarCom to meet marketing and PR objectives; conduct face-to-face, phone, and email outreach with partners and donors.
• Represent the organization at community events and coordinate event materials for distribution.
• Support Territory team and collaborate with Programs and Development for fundraising efficiency.
