Job summary

The ALS Association is seeking a mission-driven Development Manager to help manage Walk to Defeat and other fundraising events in South Florida & the Treasure Coast. You will work with the Director of Development and the team to recruit and steward participants and sponsors, building relationships with supporters and corporate partners.

The ideal candidate has a track record in fundraising and event coordination, strong communication, and the ability to travel across the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of fundraising, event management, volunteer development and management, public relations, donor cultivation and corporate sponsor cultivation.

Responsibilities

• Meet income portfolio goal of $400,000+ via Walk to Defeat ALS Boynton Beach and events.
• Recruit, steward, and retain event chairs and members and build relationships with community partners.
• Coordinate with Event Experience team and volunteers on logistics, printing and promotional materials.
• Operate within budgetary guidelines.
• Engage people living with ALS and their families in awareness and fundraising activities.
• Collaborate with MarCom for marketing and PR objectives.
• Engage corporate partners, vendors, volunteers and donors through meetings and outreach.
• Represent the organization at community events.
• Support Territory team and Managing Director as needed.
• Ensure adherence to Association standards.
