Job summary

Breakthrough T1D is seeking a Development Manager to drive integrated fundraising efforts across its Long Island chapter, with occasional NYC meetings. This role focuses on building donor relationships, managing events, and expanding revenue through individual and corporate supporters.

You will work with volunteers, secure sponsors, and implement strategies to grow the chapter's revenue while upholding Breakthrough T1D's mission.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of fundraising experience in a mission-driven organization with revenue responsibilities.
• Experience coordinating large events and managing volunteers.
• Strong ability to cultivate and solicit donors and supporters.

Responsibilities

• Fundraising & Engagement – drive revenue and year-over-year growth in the chapter.
• Recruit, cultivate, and manage volunteer leaders and engage key volunteers.
• Promote Breakthrough T1D’s mission; articulate strategic direction in the community.
• Maintain policies, participate in strategy meetings, and support budget/pipeline planning.
