Job summary

Breakthrough T1D is seeking a Development Coordinator to execute fundraising events in the Florida chapter, collaborating with donors, volunteers, and corporate partners. The role centers on growing revenue and expanding the chapter’s impact through strategic engagement.

The position requires energy, integrity, and a collaborative spirit to promote the mission across communities, events, and campaigns. Hybrid schedule based in Orlando, two days in-office weekly, three days remote or in the field.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of fundraising experience with revenue responsibilities over $250k
• Experience working with large-scale events (walks, galas, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience in donor cultivation and ongoing stewardship
• Strong collaboration with volunteers and chapter partners
• Energetic, energetic, ethical, creative team player with drive
• Proven ability to manage multiple event details, timelines and deadlines
• Willingness to travel locally; evening and weekend work as needed
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Fundraising & Engagement – drive revenue growth and donor engagement for the assigned event portfolio
• Volunteer Management – engage and coordinate volunteers and leadership
• Awareness – promote Breakthrough T1D mission in community, advocacy, and trials
• Administration – maintain policies, procedures and event logistics
• Develop expertise in fundraising platforms and tools
