Job summary

Breakthrough T1D, the leading nonprofit advancing research and advocacy for type 1 diabetes, is seeking a Part-Time Temporary Development Coordinator for the Greater Wilmington Chapter. You will support fundraising, volunteers and events across the chapter’s portfolio.

Reporting to the Chapter Director, you will help plan and run signature events, donor cultivation, volunteer recruitment and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of fundraising, nonprofit development, event management, sales, account management, community engagement, hospitality, marketing, or a related field preferred.
• Self-starter who can take ownership of an assignment and move work forward with limited supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines with strong follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Signature events, Gala and Golf: plan and execute events, recruit participants and sponsors.
• Walk, peer-to-peer, and community fundraising: recruit teams and donors, provide fundraising coaching.
• Fundraising, donor support: follow-up with donors, sponsors, and volunteers; stewardship logistics and recognition.
• General chapter and event support: assist with materials, communications, and logistics.
