Job summary

Avicado is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager to own design change projects end-to-end for one of its largest data center accounts. You will drive scope, development, execution, and post-execution, coordinating with site teams, project leads, and client vendors to keep changes on track.

You will manage substantial budgets, communicate proactively, and leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery. Remote work is available, with up to 25% travel to client sites in California and Seattle.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ownership of project scope from planning through execution.
• Proven experience managing large, complex project budgets.
• Strong track record driving design/change management end-to-end.
• Excellent communication skills aligning cross-functional partners, site teams, and leads.
• Self-starter with high responsiveness and proactive prioritization.
• Comfort using AI tools and prompting to improve work.
• Ability to learn new tools quickly; deep data center knowledge not required.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to client sites (CA, Seattle).

Responsibilities

• Own design change projects end-to-end from scoping through design development, execution, and post-execution.
• Serve as project lead on design changes, driving them from concept to completion.
• Take ownership of project scope and manage it through the full lifecycle.
• Manage large project budgets.
• Bring cross-functional partners together and align them around a shared plan.
• Partner with site management to keep projects on track and work with client vendors downstream.
• Manage material procurement and site readiness; ensure readiness downstream.
• Learn and adopt internal tooling systems quickly; use AI tools to support execution and reporting.
