Job summary

Avicado seeks a Cost Manager to lead cost control across hyperscale data center projects. You will own budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, collaborating with Prime and Subcontractor teams to maximize value while managing schedule risks.

You bring 5+ years in data center cost management, deep knowledge of MEPT, IT/telecom integration, and a proactive ownership mindset. This role supports a remote work model and offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in managing costs for hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center projects.
• 5+ years of data center construction scheduling and/or project management experience.
• Deep understanding of cost drivers in data center development, including MEP, electrical, cooling, and IT/telecom integration.
• Knowledge of current material costs, labor rates, and supply chain risks in key markets.
• Experience aligning cost management with scheduling, procurement, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end cost control services including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Own cost-related processes for Prime and Subcontractor scopes and coordinate with Project Managers.
• Analyze tool usage (notably Procore) and implement data streamlining and process improvements.
• Facilitate cross-phase coordination between Preconstruction, Construction, and Operations on cost matters.
• Oversee budget development, cash flow management, client billing, invoice processing, PO lifecycle, and CO documentation.
