Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking a Database Administrator III to support production and non-production databases across the enterprise in a remote nationwide capacity. The role requires expertise in T-SQL, SQL Server administration, and on-call rotations to ensure SLA adherence.

You will collaborate with operations, auditors, and business teams, guiding database solutions, and mentoring junior staff while promoting secure, efficient data management practices across systems and platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in IT/CS; 5+ years DB admin preferred.
• Seven years DB admin experience if no degree.
• Proficient in creating T-SQL scripts.
• Experience with SSIS/SSRS/SSAS and SQL Server maintenance.
• Knowledge of Cognizant/TriZetto Facets data model is a plus.
• PowerShell experience helpful.
• Experience with replication and high availability architectures.
• Azure experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform T-SQL performance tuning for production issues.
• Configure, script, install, monitor, upgrade, and administer DBMS.
• Ensure SLAs are met for internal and external clients.
• Provide off-hours production support and on-call rotation.
• Document and enforce database policies and standards.
• Coordinate with technical and business teams and auditors.
• Backups, point-in-time restores, and maintenance planning.
• Support SDLC and cross-train junior DBAs.
• Maintain security best practices and access controls.
• Drive strategic goals and implement new processes as needed.
