Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking a Database Administrator III for a remote/nationwide role. The candidate will support production and non-production databases, provide guidance on database solutions, and collaborate with operations and auditors to meet enterprise needs.

Responsibilities include performance tuning, maintenance, security, SDLC support, and cross-training junior DBAs. Off-hour and on-call support are required to ensure SLA adherence for internal and external clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in database administration across production and non-production environments.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.
• Strong problem-solving skills and multi-tasking in fast-paced environments.
• Experience communicating with technical and business teams as well as auditors.

Responsibilities

• T-SQL performance tuning to resolve production issues using SQL Server and tools.
• Configure, script, install, monitor, and administer database systems.
• Meet SLAs for internal and external clients.
• Off-hour production support and 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Document database policies, procedures and standards.
• Backups, restores, and maintenance plans for mission-critical apps.
• Assist SDLC and provide cross-training to junior DBAs.
• Ensure security best practices are followed.
