Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking a Database Administrator III for remote nationwide work. You will manage production and non-production databases, tune T-SQL, handle configuration, monitoring, backups, and DR, and collaborate with operations and auditors.

You will join a team focused on secure, reliable data services, provide cross-training, and support SDLC; on-call rotation required, weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree and five years of database administration preferred.
• If no degree, a minimum of seven years of experience in database administration.
• Knowledge of Cognizant/TriZetto Facets data model/application is a huge plus.
• Ability to create T-SQL scripts required.
• Experience using PowerShell.
• Experienced in installing and configuring SSIS/SSRS/SSAS.
• Azure experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• T-SQL performance tuning to resolve production issues using native SQL Server and third-party tools.
• Performs configuration, scripting, analysis, installation, monitoring, upgrades, and administration for database management systems.
• Ensure service level agreements are met for internal and external clients.
• Off-hour production support (including weekends) and 24/7 on-call rotation necessary.
• Determine, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards.
• Effectively communicate with technical and business teams as well as auditors.
• Perform database administration tasks, such as backups, point-in-time restores, maintenance plans for mission-critical applications.
