Job summary

Signature Performance is seeking a Database Administrator III to support production and non-production databases across the enterprise. This remote/nationwide role requires strong T-SQL, SQL Server expertise, and ability to guide operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in a related field; five years DBA experience preferred.
• If no degree, a minimum of seven years of DBA experience.
• Knowledge of Cognizant/TriZetto Facets data model is a plus.
• Ability to create T-SQL scripts required.
• Highly organized and responsible.
• Independent work capability with minimal supervision.
• Experience with SQL replication and high availability architectures.
• Experience using PowerShell and SSIS/SSRS/SSAS.

Responsibilities

• T-SQL performance tuning to resolve day-to-day production issues.
• Config, scripting, installation, monitoring, upgrades, and admin for DBMS.
• Ensure SLAs are met for internal/external clients.
• Off-hour production support and 24/7 on-call rotation.
• Document and enforce database policies, procedures, standards.
• Communicate with technical teams, business units, and auditors.
• Backups, point-in-time restores, maintenance plans for mission-critical apps.
• Data layer knowledge for operations/projects.
• Support SDLC components and cross-train junior DBAs.
• Ensure security best practices are followed.
• Set strategic goals and implement new processes/standards.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.
